Refund Policy

At Motorcycle Culture Co, we stand behind the quality of our motorcycle parts and accessories. This Refund & Returns Policy outlines your rights and our procedures in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and standard motorcycle industry practices.


1. Australian Consumer Law Rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if a product:

  • Is faulty or defective

  • Is not as described

  • Is not fit for its intended purpose

  • Has a major failure

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.


2. Change of Mind Returns

Due to the nature of motorcycle parts and fitment sensitivity, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind.

However, at our discretion, we may approve a return if:

  • The item is unused and uninstalled

  • It is in original packaging

  • It is in resalable condition

  • The return is requested within 14 days of delivery

Approved change-of-mind returns may be subject to:

  • Store credit instead of refund

  • Restocking fee (typically 10–20%)

  • Customer-paid return shipping

Shipping costs are non-refundable.


3. Incorrect Item Ordered / Fitment Issues

Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility with their motorcycle before purchase.

We do not accept returns where:

  • Incorrect model/year selected

  • Customer ordered wrong part

  • Assumed compatibility without confirmation

  • Item does not fit due to aftermarket modifications

We strongly recommend checking fitment or contacting us before ordering.


4. Faulty or Damaged Items

If you receive a faulty, defective, or damaged product:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of delivery

  2. Provide order number and photos

  3. Do not install or use the item

We will assess and provide:

  • Replacement

  • Repair

  • Refund

at no cost to you, including return shipping where applicable.


5. Non-Returnable Items

For safety, hygiene, and industry reasons, the following cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Installed or used parts

  • Electrical components once connected

  • Special-order or custom parts

  • Clearance or sale items

  • Consumables (filters, fluids, gaskets once opened)

  • Items without original packaging


6. Return Process

To request a return:

Include:

  • Order number

  • Reason for return

  • Photos (if applicable)

If approved, you will receive return instructions.

Items returned without approval may be refused.


7. Return Shipping

  • Faulty or incorrect items supplied by us → we cover return shipping

  • Change of mind or customer error → customer pays return shipping

We recommend tracked shipping. We are not responsible for lost return parcels.


8. Refunds

Once a return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds processed within 5–10 business days

  • Refunded to original payment method

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable (unless ACL applies)

Store credit may be issued where applicable.


9. Exchanges

We generally process returns and new orders separately rather than direct exchanges to ensure correct stock allocation.


10. Installation Disclaimer

We are not responsible for:

  • Labour or installation costs

  • Workshop fees

  • Mechanical damage from installation

  • Consequential vehicle damage

This is standard across the motorcycle parts industry.
